John David Clark moved with his wife and daughter to the United States in 1952. They lived in San Diego, California briefly before settling in Montgomery, Alabama, where he worked for some time as a civil service employee at Maxwell Air Force Base and then with the Montgomery Police Department. He had various other occupations also, i.e. before he left Canada, he worked as a theater attendant for a time.
(Medical):John David Clark was 5 ft 9 1/2 in tall with black hair and grey eyes. All his identification papers make note of the fact that both of his little fingers were irregular.
