Moira Forbes, Editor, Fiancee
The engagement of Moira Hamilton Forbes to Kenneth Bruce Mumma has been announced by Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm S. Forbes of Far Hills, N.J., parents of the future bride. Her fiance is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mumma of Lancaster, Pa.
An August wedding is planned. Miss Forbes, an alumna of St. Timothy's School, attended the University of Colorado and was graduated from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. She is editor of the Leader newspapers in Newtown Square, Pa. Her father is chairman of Forbes Inc., publisher of Forbes magazine.
The future bride is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Forbes and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Remsen Laidlaw, all of Englewood, N.J. Her paternal grandfather, originally from Aberdeenshire, Scotland, emigrated to this country in 1904 and founded Forbes. Mr. Laidlaw was a partner in Laidlaw & Company the family investment firm founded in the 1840'
Mr. Mumma, who attends the Villanova University Law School, was graduated from Franklin and Marshall College. His father is vice president of the Bear Creek Construction Company in Lancaster.

Miss Forbes Is Married
The marriage of Moira Hamilton Forbes, editor of the Leader newspapers in Newtown Square, Pa., to Kenneth Bruce Mumma, a law student at Villanova University, took place in Bernardsville, N.J., yesterday. The Rev. Alfred M. Niese Jr. performed the ceremony in the chapel of St. John on the Mountain Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Mumma is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm S. Forbes of Far Hills, N.J. Her father is editor in chief and chairman of Forbes magazine, founded by her grandfather, the late B.C. Forbes. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mumma of Lancaster, Pa., where his father is vice president of the Bear Creek Construction Company.
Sabina, Roberta, Catherine and Charlotte Forbes attended their aunt. John Lerch served as best man. The bride, an alumna of St. Timothy's School, attended the University of Colorado and was graduated from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. She is a granddaughter also of the late Mrs. Forbes of Englewood, N.J., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Laidlaw, also of Englewood. Her maternal grandfather was senior partner in the brokerage firm of Laidlaw & Company.
Mr. Mumma was graduated cum laude from Franklin and Marshall College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
