Marian Walter, Crossing Guard
Marian Walter, 69, of 14 S. Spruce St., Lititz, died Thursday in the Essa Flory Hospice Center after a long illness. Mrs. Walter was a crossing guard in Lititz Borough. She previously worked for the former Terry Manufacturing, Akron, and drove a delivery truck for Airborne Express. She was a 1948 graduate of the former Rothsville High School, where she was the May Day Queen, queen of the Halloween Parade, a student council member and a band member. She enjoyed making floral decorations and baking. Born in Rothsville, she was a daughter of the late William and Maud Pipgrass Mumma. She and her husband, Nevin L. Walter, would have marked their 49th wedding anniversary today. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Donna T., married to Devin C. Yohn of Manheim; a son, Barry N., of Biglerville; two grandaughters ; and three brothers, Norman A., married to Shirley Mumma of Lexington, C. William, married to Joan Mumma of Carmichael, Calif., and Sidney Lee, married to Bobbie Muma of Lititz.
