Coraopolis - William J. McQade, 63 of 203 Wesbury Drive, died Sunday in Sewickley Valley Hospital.
He was a retired Air Force pilot and recipient of Legion of Merit, Air Force Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal with an Oak Cluster, Air Force Meritoriious Service Medal, Air force Outstanding Civilian Employee Medal and Pennsylvania Commendation Medal.
He also owened and opertated ABC Child Care Center. He was retired airport manager of Pittsburgh International Airport, a member of Moon School Board, Moon Planning Agency, Moon Transportation Authorty, Airport area Kiwanis Democratic committee person, Airport Area Chamber of Commerce and chairman of the Pittsburgh Federal Executive Board, Pennsylvania Aviation Council and Western Pennsylvania Coalition of Job Retention and Military Presence.
Surviving are his wife, Grace A. Mumma McQuade, three daughters, Beth A. Murphy of Waterloo, Canada, Kathryn M. McQuade of Redondo Beach, Calif. and Barbara G. McQuade of Carlisele; two sons, William F. of New Cumberland and Lawrence Rogers of Chatham, Mass.; three sisters, Joanne Schultz and Threse Leader, both of Cottage Grove, Wis., and Margaret Swadley of Beloit, Wis.; and five grandchildlren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Copelands Funeral Home, Coraopolis, Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tursday in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Upper Allen Twp.
There will be no visitation.
