Mildred M. (Mumma) Bahn
Mildred M. (Mumma) Bahn, 92, of Lancaster, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy. Born December 8, 1916, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Frank W. and Ida M. (Crist) Mumma. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. Bahn, Jr.
Mrs. Bahn was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Lancaster, where she was a Senior Shepherd. She had worked as an office clerk and was employed by various businesses over the years. Mildred loved Central Market; it was only a few weeks ago that she was spending time with the many friends she made there.
Mrs. Bahn is survived by her sister, Dorothy J. Cowan, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester C. and Russell P. Mumma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2009, at the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 North Duke Street, Lancaster, with Rev. Mark Russel officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
