Warren M. Mumma, 81, Venice, Florida died Jan. 20, 2007.
He was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Detroit and came to Venice in 1982. He retired as a district sales manager after 32 years at The Champion Spark Plug Co. and was president of Toledo Sales and Marketing Executives. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a past board member of the Pinebrook South Homeowners Association and past president and board member of the R/C Fliers, both in Venice.
Survivors include his wife, Esther; a daughter, Jennifer L. Matuszak of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, Jay W. of Wake Forest, N.C.; sisters Helen Flanigan of San Jose, Calif., and Jeanne Somers of Morton, Ill.; several stepchildren; and a granddaughter.
A visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, with services to follow, at Venice Presbyterian Church. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory, Venice Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Warren M. Mumma, 81, of Venice, FL died January 20, 2007.
He lived in Toledo, Ohio before moving to Florida in 1982, and was District Sales Manager for The Champion Spark Club Company.
He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Force in World War II and the Korean Conflict; patron of the Toledo Museum of Art; President of Toledo Sales and Marketing Executives; charter member of All Saints Lutheran Church and The Grand Lake Community Chapel in Presque Isle, MI.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis.
Surviving are his second wife, Esther Scurfield Mumma, formerly of Harrisburg; a daughter; a son; a son-in-law; a granddaughter; 3 step-children; 4 step-grandchildren; and 2 sisters.
Funeral services were held on January 24, 2007 at Venice Presbyterian Church.

He was a District Sales Manager for The Champion Spark Plug Company, retiring after 32 years of service. Active in community life, he was a Patron of The Toledo Museum of Art; served as President of Toledo Sales and Marketing Executives; Congregation President at Grace Lutheran Church in Toledo; charter member and active at All Saints Lutheran Church in Toledo. A 50 plus 32nd Degree member of Masonic bodies; member of the Byrnwick Golf Club, Maumee, Ohio and past president and board member of the R/C Fliers of Venice, Florida. He was a past board member of the Pinebrook South Homeowners Association in Venice. He was a charter member of The Grand Lake Community Chapel, Preque Isle, Michigan, which he attended each summer.
After coming to Florida in 1982, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis. Survivors include his second wife, Esther; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Matuszak; Son-in-law, Drew Matuszak of Raleigh, North Carolina; son, Jay Warren Mumma, Wake Forest, North Carolina; Granddaughter, Jessica Matuszak of Raleigh; sisters: Helen Flanigan, San Jose, California; Jeanne Somers, Morton, Illinois; step-children, Tom and Audrey Scurfield, Charlotte, North Carolina; George and Jane Scurfield, Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and their daughter, Kate; Jacqueline and Keith Paulsen and their children Gracie, Burton and Martin of Hanover, New Hampshire.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 from 12-1 PM at Venice Presbyterian Church with a Funeral Service immediately following at 1 PM.
