"CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary E. Boppe Mason Piper Weist, 93, a resident of Menno Haven Nursing Home, Chambersburg, and formerly of 461 Guilford Ave., Chambersburg, died Wednesday morning at the nursing home. Born Dec. 8, 1911, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Martin L. and Amelia Virginia Jacobs Boppe. She was a member of Chambersburg Open Door Church, The Jolly 60's, the Fidelus Sunday School Class, the Chambersburg Senior Center and the Golden Age Club. She had worked as a machine operator for Stanley Co. and Interwoven Hosiery. She was preceded in death by her three husbands, Stuart H. Mason in 1960, Truman Piper in 1975 and Robert Weist in 1996. She is survived by five daughters, Fannie Gearhart of Hagerstown, Agnes Wilson of Maugansville, Md., Stella Mumma of Hagerstown, Mary Fogal of Chambersburg and Ruby Clark of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; and two sons, Morris and Paul Mason of Hagerstown. She also is survived by a number of stepchildren. She has two sisters, Annie McLucas of Welsh Run, Pa., and Pearl Rowe of Smithsburg, Md. She has a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2005, and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. The funeral service will be held at the Chambersburg Open Door Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Pastors Art Brown and Sean Coffey officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The funeral home will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Memorial donations may be made to Jolly Sixties, c/o Chambersburg Open Door Church, 600 Miller St., Chambersburg, PA 17201."
