EMORY MUMMA IS DEAD
Had Been Shot November 5 By A Companion
Emory Mumma, the 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. George Mumma, of Dulany's Valley, Baltimore county, who was shot while hunting near his home on November 5 by a companion, Andrew Johnson, died Saturday night at the Maryland University Hospital, where he had been since the shooting. According to the story told of the affair, Johnson asked Mumma to be allowed to shoot him, and in raising the gun accidentally discharged it, the load entering Mumma's left shoulder.
Johnson was arrested, and was released on $2,500 bail by Justice Herbert, of Towson. Jusice Herbert also took Mumma's dying deposition. Johnson will probably now be rearrested. Coroner Wiltshire will hold an inquest tomorrow evening at the Western Police Station. Dr. M. G. ___ will make ___.
