Mrs. Benjiman E. Mumau died at the family residence in Kansas City,Missouri, Saturday, June 19, at 12:46 p.m., after an illiness of seven months duration, from dropsy and heart trouble. The body was brought to El Dorado and the funeral was held from the home of her sister, Mrs. B. Stiver, Monday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. W. E. Bates. She was laid to rest in Belle Vista Cemetery.
Margaret M. Nicewander was born in Champaign Co., IL:, July 6,1853, and was aged 61 years, 11 months and 13 days at the time of her death. She was married to B. E. Mumau April 8,1874. To them were born three sons and two daughters. One son died in infancy. Those surviving are Frank Mumau, Mrs. Gertrude Bowers, Mrs. Carrie Sherman and Charlie Mamau, all of Kansas City. Two sisters, Mrs. J. P. Hart and Mrs. B. Stiver of El Dorado also survive and with the bereaved husband and children sincerely mourn, a dutiful wife, loving mother and affectionate sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Mumau were for years residents of El Dorado and Mrs. Mumau is a pioneer of Prospect Township.
