Mrs. Katherine Miller
Mrs. Katherine Miller, age 73, wife of Ulysses G. Miller, died this morning at 7:45 o'clock at her home, 912 S. 14th St., following a brief illness. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Methodist church and active in various organizations. She was also a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R.
Besides the husband, she is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Hodard Smith, Mrs. Paul Anderson and Miss Kathryn Miller, all of New Castle, and Mrs. Howard Garber, Jackson, Mich., 5 sons, Paul Miller, Toledo; Russell Miller, Indianapolis; Ray Miller and Harold Miller, New Castle and Frank Miller, Valparaiso, Ind. She is also survived by 1 sister, Mrs. Lula Koon of New Castle and 3 brothers, Nick Mumma, Pittsburgh, George Mumma, Denver and Chester Mumma, Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The body was removed to the late residence from the Fox and Macer chapel where friends may call after noon Saturday.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the 1st Methodist church with the Rev. S.H. Turbeville officiating. Burial will take place in South Mound cemetery.
