Mrs. Lydia (Mumma) Price, wife of Alton Price, died at her home at Laidig, PA, Friday, January 8, 1932, after a lingering illness of asthma causing a complication of diseases. She was a daughter of David R. and Eva Clevenger Mumma, deceased, and was born near Laidig, September 26, 1875, being aged 56 years, 3 months, and 12 days. The deceased was united in marriage to Alton Price on June 27, 1911 at Wolfsburg, who with the following children survive her: Gerald and Dorothy at home. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank C. and Lawson D. Mumma of Wilkinsburg, PA, Walter J. Mumma of Jeannette, PA, George E. Mumma of the U.S. Navy, state of Washington, Mrs H. H. Howell and Mrs. W. J. Winter of Kearney, PA and Mrs. Sarah Evans of Altoona, PA. Mrs. Price joined Fairview church when she was a young girl. She was a kind and loving wife and mother. During her long illness she bore her affliction with calmness and fortitude that attracted the attention of many of her friends. She was well known for her cheerfulness and sociability, and her death has cast a gloom of sorrow over the entire community. Funeral services were held at Fairview M. E. church on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev Courtney H. Cummings officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery adjoining.

Lydia was a Mumma but her married name would have been Price. She is married to Alton Price.
