Harry Robert(Bob) Mumma, 86, went to Heaven on Monday morning September 11, 2017 at home. He was born on July 26, 1931 in Hustontown to Sharpe and Virgie (Rouzer )Mumma. He had been a mechanic most of his life, but from 1957 till 1962 he drove a tractor trailer. In 1962 he opened Mumma's Radiator Shop in Chambersburg, which he ran until 1984, at which time he returned to driving truck. He was a fifty year member of George Washington Lodge #143 F&AM in Chambersburg, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shriners and Tall Cedar Valley Forest #145. Harry enjoyed "Clowning" with fellow Tall Cedar Lodge members to benefit muscular dystrophy. He attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, LuWanda G. (Romig) Mumma of Chambersburg; and their two daughters, Virginia (wife of Roger) Kegerreis of Severence, CO and Roberta Lawyer of Waynesboro. Harry has two grandchildren, Kellie (wife of Mark) Tovar of Greeley, CO and Brian Lawyer of Falling Waters, WV. There are three great-granddaughters, Marisa (wife of Caleb) Ball, Kortney Tovar, and Allyson Tovar; and great-great-granddaughter, Adelee Grace Ball. He is survived by two sisters, Audrey Shotts and Dorothy Miller, both of McConnellsburg; and two brothers, John Mumma of McConnellsburg and Bennie Mumma of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Mumma; and a grandson, Kirk Kegerreis.
It was Harry's wishes that his body be donated to medical research. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial donations be sent to Shriner's Children Hospital, 3551 N. Broad St. Philadelphia, PA 19140. The family wishes to thank their many friends who were a part of Harry's daily life, for their cards and visits, love and support during his illness. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
