HARRISONVILLE, Pa. - Lester William Hann, 79, of 316 Buck Road, died Friday, Dec. 3, 1999, at Washington County Hospital. Born June 28, 1920, in Laidig, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl Glenn and Julia Blanche Mumma Hann. He retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike as a maintenance person. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrisonville. He was a member of American Legion Post 561 of McConnellsburg, Pa. He is survived by his wife, Vera Mellott Hann, whom he married April 17, 1948; a daughter, Connie Strock of Elkton, Md.; a son, Dennis Hann of Fort Little ton, Pa.; a sister, Thelma Hess of Chambersburg, Pa.; a brother, Melvin Hann of Harrisonville ; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Hann, and two brothers . Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sipes Funeral Home, 6633 Lincoln Highway in Harrisonville. Pastor William Swope will officiate. Burial will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Harrisonville. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral home will be open today from 2 to 9 p.m. for the convenience of friends."
