Billy D. Mumma, 77, of Independence, Kansas, died Monday at Jane Phillips Medical Center-Continous Care in Bartlesville, OK.
Funeral services were Friday at Potts-Chapel of Independence with the Rev. Cinda Osborn officiating. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to AWOL, First Christian Church or Center for Basic Cancer Research and donation may be left with the funeral home.
Billy Dale was born September 1, 1931 in Garden City, Kansas the son of Clarence and Nellie (Murphy) Mumma.
He married Waunita Spangler on September 4, 1953 in Independence. She survives,
Other survivors include a daughter Linda Richard of DeSota, Kansas; son Steve Mumma of Dewey, OK; a brother, Clarence Lee Mumma of Kansas City, Kansas, s sister Shirley Merritt of Pleasanton, Kansas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
