CHARLES E. BLACK
MOWEAQUA - Charles E. Black 76, of Moweaqua died 6:50 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 14, 2001) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Ater-Wikoff Funeral Home, Macon, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery. Memorials: Macon Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Black was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Macon, the son of J. Robert and Ruth Moma Black and stepmother, Gladys Black.
He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Macon Presbyterian Church, where he served as deacon. He served on the Council at the Eastern Star Home in Macon. He married Betty Carter in 1951. She preceded him in death in 1977. He married Violet Skinner Aug. 10, 1978.
Surviving are his stepmother of Macon; wife, Violet; stepdaughter, Joanne Lucuis and husband Les of Ashland, Wis.; stepgrandchildren, Michael, Pat, David, Jim, Rick, Bonnie and Diane; 14 great-stepgrandchildren; brothers, Paul Black and wife Joann of Moweaqua; Richard M. Black and wife Marilyn of Decatur; sister, Dorothy Jostes and husband Harold of Macon; stepbrothers, Alan Ford of Macon; Dale Ford and wife Judy of Forsyth; and numerous loving nieces, nephews, family, friends and special cat, Blondie.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Betty.
