Franklin Levi "Bud" Mumma, Sr., 76, of Terre Haute, formerly of Coalmont, passed away at 12:04 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born June 26, 1934 in Coalmont, he was the son of Franklin Levi Mumma and Goldia Hair Mumma.
He was a self-employed and independent truck driver, a member of Coalmont Church of God, and he was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Carson Mumma of Terre Haute whom he married on July 10, 2004, son Franklin L. (Sheilla) Mumma Jr. of Jasonville; step-daughters Rajenna Ann Carson of Florida, Rebecca M. Sanders of Farmersburg, Andrea Summerlot of Terre Haute, Eva Marie Roschlien of Columbia, Illinois, Alicia Bailey of Greenwood, Indiana, and Pamela Davis of Greenwood, Indiana; step-sons Gary Carson of Evansville, Bryan Carson of Farmersburg and Ray Carson of Greenwood, Indiana; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Barbara Ann Mumma; sons William Eugene Mumma and Claude Morgan Mumma; sisters Ella Waldon and Lucille Burger; one step-son, and one grandson.
Arrangements entrusted to Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Indiana.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 6 - 8 p.m. on Monday and at the Coalmont Church of God from noon until service time on Tuesday.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 6 at the Coalmont Church of God with Pastor Joy Rehmel officiating. The place of interment will be West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana.
