HALIFAX - Laura Virginia Mumma, 84, of 1024 Enders Road, passed away Monday, January 16, 2006 at Harrisburg Hospital.
She was born in Camp Hill, on January 18, 1921, the daughter of the late Amos F. and Amanda F. (Knaub) Kinert.
She retired with 29 years of service as an LPN for the former Dauphin Manor, Harrisburg. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Enterline. She had memberships with Farm Women's Group #10, Enterline; Kettle Bells of Halifax; and Halifax Senior Citizens Group. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, gardening and canning.
She was the widow of Edward R. Mumma.
She is survived by daughter, Jo Ann Wanamaker of Halifax; grandson, Randolph A. Maus, Lykens; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Nathan Maus; 4 foster sons, Edward and Bruce Hoffman, MD; Ronald Watts, Harrisburg; James Paul, Lebanon; 1 foster daughter, Dorothy Weaver, Enders; 16 foster grandchildren and several foster great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Hoover Funeral Homes, Inc., Elizabethville, PA, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21st, with Rev. Mike Petresky officiating. Viewing will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Laurel Cemetery, Piketown Road, Harrisburg.
