Frederick Haines is from the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. Fred was a wood worker and a wagon maker. He had a wood shop until his health became very bad. Fred made a gypsy wagon on one occasion. The inside had mirrors all over the walls and it was said that it was a very beautiful creation. Fred was known for building wagons. Fred suffered another stroke of paralysis and was staying at Curtis' home in Bement. The stroke was probably brought on by the death of his wife, Sadie.
