Ruth G. Moomau, 82, of Keyser, WV, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at the Lion's Manor Nursing Home, Cumberland, Md.
Born on January 9, 1924 at Keyser, WV, she was a daughter of the late George and Pearl (Riggleman) Estep. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell R. Moomau on November 29, 1992; a granddaughter, Brandi Whisner; a brother, Buddy Estep and two sisters, Eva Filer and Dessie Jones.
Mrs. Moomau was retired as a cook at the McCoole Elementary School and was a member of the Keyser Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are two sons, Roland "Rocky" Moomau and wife Jo and Charles "Butch" Moomau and wife Evelyn, all of Westernport, MD; two daughters, Patricia Montana of Frostburg, MD and Deborah Whisner and husband Ed of New Creek, WV; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, September 11 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, September 12 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
