A. R. Mumaw died, yesterday, about noon, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. L. Cantrell. His disease was consumption, from which he has been suffering for several years. Deceased was an old settler and an old soldier. He built the old hotel west of the square in Greeley, about thirty-five years ago, which he conducted for several years. He was justice of the peace in Walker township two or three terms, we believe, back in the "sixties," and, a few years ago, was county surveyor one term. He leaves a wife and several children, all grown. His wife and three of his children live at Greeley. The remains were placed in the Garnett cemetery, the funeral being conducted under the auspices of the G.A.R.
