Jean G. Mumma
Jean G. Mumma, 85, formerly of the South Broad Street Apts. in Jersey Shore, died, Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in the Manor Care Health Center in Jersey Shore.
Born August 22, 1921 in Salladasburg, she was the daughter of George Cohick and the former Agnes Thomas. Her husband Harry A. Mumma preceded her in death in 1971. She was retired from Woolrich Inc. after many years of service. Her hobbies included sewing, canning, bingo, and gardening.
Surviving is a son Harry A. Mumma Jr. of Rauchtown; two daughters, Connie J. Meixel of Rauchtown and Janet A. Reeder of Loganton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; and two great great grandsons; two brothers, Jay Cohick of Williamsport and Howard Cohick of Williamsport; four sisters, Grace Sheddy of Jersey Shore, Wanda Brown of Linden, Nellie McClure of Newberry and Gloria Barrentine of Climax, Georgia. Two sisters, Emily Hamilton and Dorthea Bluch, preceded Jean in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fredrick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
Friends may call Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Loganton. Rev. David McCoy will officiate.
