BETTY J. MUMMA, 77 MOUNT MORRIS - Betty J. Mumma, 77, died Feb. 22, 2010, in Pinecrest Manor. Born Jan. 27, 1933, in Mount Morris, the daughter of David and Ruth (Stover) Messer. Graduated from Mount Morris High School, Class of 1951. Married Kenneth E. Mumma on Oct. 4, 1974, in Mount Morris. She retired from Watt Publishing where she had been employed as a clerk. Lifelong resident of the community. Survived by aunt, Rachel Duncan of Mount Morris; special friends, Carol Davis and Judy Nixon; and her cats, Jack and Buffy. Predeceased by her parents; husband; and special friend, Lucille Holsinger. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, in Mount Morris Evangelical Free Church with visitation from 10 a.m. to service time; the Rev. Bruce McKanna will officiate. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon. Memorials to Pinecrest Good Samaritan Fund and Mount Morris Evangelical Free Church.
