Philip is almost certainly a cousin of Anna Eve's. She is the daughter of Jacob's supposed brother Conrad. Anna Eve was Philip's second wife, married at least after 1805, the latest known date for a child of Philip and Elizabeth. Howard Lanham has given their marriage date as 1817.
In Newspaper Abstracts of Frederick County, p. 81: for July 30, 1814: "Philip BLESSING, Harper's Ferry Road, 3 miles above the Trap, has taken up a stray bull" and Aug 27, 1814: "Philip BLESSING has taken up a stray colt."
