Earl John Mumma, Jr., 82, of Camp Hill, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at home, with his family by his side.
He was born January 6, 1926 in Middletown, PA, to the late Earl John and Mary (Manning) Mumma, Sr.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church of Middletown; member of Prince Edwin Lodge #486 of Middletown, Zembo Shrine, Harrisburg Consistory, and the American Walking Horse Association. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and was the retired owner of Mumma Freight Lines, Inc.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Mumma.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Ruth E.; 2 sons, Earl John Mumma III and wife, Becky of Newport, and Morris William Mumma and wife, Tammy of Camp Hill; 4 grandchildren, Earl John Mumma IV and wife, Diane, Diana (Mumma) Crider and husband, Ryan, Danielle Lynn (Mumma) Weiser and husband, Matthew, and Morris William Mumma, Jr.; 3 great-grandchildren, Logan Mumma, Meghan Mumma and Noah Weiser; and 1 brother, William Mumma of Middletown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday from the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, Camp Hill. Burial with military honors will be from Geyers Church Cemetery, Middletown. Viewing will be from 7-9 p.m., Monday at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m., and again from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
