Mrs. Ruby Mumma Dies in Bay City

Mrs. Ruby Mumma, wife of the late Charles Mumma. formerly a prominent rancher here, died in a San Francisco hospital Saturday afternoon following an illness which has kept her bedfast a great deal of the time during the past year. Mrs. Mumma and her youngest daughter. Vegene, now Mrs. A. W. Dahlquist, moved from here to San Francisco two years ago. The family came to Healdsburg from Grimes. Colusa county, in 1912, and purchased a forty acre ranch on the Fitch Mountain road about a mile from town. The home and splendid prune ranch there are still the property of Mrs. Mumma, who has visited the place often during her residence in the bay district. Deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C. W. Hedrick, Mrs. A. W. Dahlquist and Mrs. J. C. Weber; a grandson, Richard W. Hedrick, and two brothers, E. R. Fortna of Colusa and H. D. Fortna of Zamora. Mrs. Mumma was a native of Cranmore, Sutter county. The funral will be held at the Christian church here Tuesday afternoon and the body will be interred in Oak Mound cemetery.
