James Stewart "Jim" Haines, 50, of Taneytown, died Saturday, May 10, 2008, unexpectedly at home.
Born August 30, 1957, in Frederick, he was the son of the late James E. Haines and Elva A. Lang Haines. He was the husband of Kathy Ann Davidson Haines, his wife of 15 years.
He was a floor installer at Mercer Carpet One in Westminster. He enjoyed his '57 Chevy, working on cars, car shows, and enjoyed his family and friends.
Besides his wife, he is survived by step-children, Steven Martin Jr. and wife, Ashley of Westminster, Sarah Hudgins and husband, J.R. of Westminster; sister, Gloria McCormick of Patapsco; twin-sister, Wanda L. Brandenburg and husband, Tim of Taneytown; Pamela Brown and husband Tommy of Taneytown; and brother Melvin "Butch" Mummaugh Sr. of Patapsco; grandchildren, Emilee Hudgins and Summer Hudgins, both of Westminster.
Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert Mummaugh Dasher and James Lawrence Haines Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Fletcher Funeral Home, P.A., 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Interment in Westminster Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
