Charles W. Evans, 75, Reading, died Feb. 24 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Feb. 17.
He was the husband of Agnes M. (Butzer) Evans.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Rufus and Hazel (Vankirk) Evans.
Evans had been employed for 33 years by Stanley G. Flagg Co. Inc., Stowe, retiring in 1995.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Evans was past president of the East Reading Swimming Association's booster club.
He was a former baseball coach for Boo Boo's Little League team and assistant baseball coach for the Legion of Pulaski Post.
Evans is also survived by two sons, Michael, at home, and David, Stony Creek Mills; and five daughters: Annmarie (Evans) Woomer, Leesport; Sandra (Evans) Mummaw, Lancaster; Debra (Evans) Wizeman, Sugarloaf, Luzerne County; and Catherine (Evans) Lantz and Michele (Evans) Morales, both of Reading.
Other survivors include two sisters: Janet (Evans) Fritz, Exeter Township, and Elizabeth (Evans) Fernandez, Birdsboro; and five brothers: Robert, Reading; Thomas and Richard, both of Exeter Township; George, Oscala, Md.; and James, San Diego.
There are also 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Kopicki-Bradley Funeral Home Inc. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
