My grandfather's brother was Milton Andrew Guynup, b 1867, Clinton County, New York, d Washington, 1947.
m. Anna Mumau, 24 December 1887, Riverside, Butler, Kansas. (By the way, in virtually every census, Milton's birthplace is listed incorrectly. He sometimes said he was born in England, and I think reports for Ida said he was born in Kansas. Wrong. His parents were from Clinton County, New York where both sets of ancestors settled there shortly after the Revolution. He was born in Clinton County, parents moved to next county, Franklin, for several years. Parents moved about 1872 to Michigan, then early 1880s to Kansas, very briefly, then on to Oklahoma for the first land rush. Milton did not go to Oklahoma. He went to Anna's family's home in Ohio, then eventually settled in Toledo for about 25 years before going to Oregon. His parents moved to Oregon the minute they proved their land in Oklahoma and headed way west. )
