Ronald Gary Root Dec. 11, 1935-Dec. 30, 2009 Passed away at his home in Saratoga after a brief illness at the age of 74, surrounded by his family & friends. Born in Houston, Texas, Ron was the son of Betty Lee and Everett Wilson Root. A graduate of San Mateo High in 1954, Ron left a successful career with Metropolitan Life Insurance in the Sunnyvale office to begin two businesses that still operate today: Evron Graphics Inc., now owned by his son Chris and Noron Precision Machining, Inc. where he remained actively involved, now owned by his daughter Debbie. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 35 years, Laura, who passed away May 19, 2009, Ron is survived by his sister Dianne Rhudy, daughters, Pamela and Debbie (Tom), sons, Richard, Dan (Roxanne), Chris (Dianne), stepson Rick (Janet) and seven grandchildren, Miles, Jennifer, Danielle, Cherise, Austin, Trevor, Jeannette, great grandchild Cadence, and Melinda Root, mother of his children. Private family services will be held. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Ron's life on Saturday, January 9th between 1-4 pm at his home.
