Peyton Joy Egger, age 3, died Friday, July 18, 2008 from an accidental drowning at her home in Sumas. She was born March 3, 2005 in Colville, WA to Greg and Jill (Mumau) Egger and later that year the family moved to the Sumas area.
A bright and energetic three year old, Peyton's precocious nature captured the heart of family, friends and everyone she met. Whether outdoors with playmates, swinging in her swing or playing in the water, Peyton's voice was continually raised in song.
Peyton is survived by her parents, Greg and Jill; brothers, Max and Skyler; sister, Piper; paternal grandparents, Max (Debbie) Egger; maternal grandparents, Mickey (Jan) Mumau all of Colville, WA; great-grandparents, Shirley (Roy) Agar of Colville and Clyda Egger of Spokane; Howard (JoAnn) Mumau and Bill (Joyce) Dowd all of Colville, Bill (Jeanette) Ferris and Don (Phyllis) Brashler all of Chewelah, WA.
Visitation hours will be Wednesday, July 23, 4 to 8 pm at Gillies Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2:00 pm at Sumas Christian Reformed Church, Sumas Ave. & 3rd St. in Sumas with burial to follow in Nooksack Cemetery.
