Marilyn, 54, Wapakoneta, died at 1:37 p.m., at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was a daughter to Robert and Betty (Mumma) Wieser. Her mother survives in Lima.
Also surviving are a sister, Sharon (Mark) Carroll, Bluffton; a niece, Brittany Carroll, Bluffton; a nephew, Tyler Carroll, Bluffton.
She was a 1974 graduate of Lima Senior High School and attended The Ohio State University and the University of Texas. She began her career in staffing on Feb. 22, 1988, working at the Lima branch of Spherion. She spent several years as branch manager for Spherion in New Orleans, before returning in May 2005 as branch manager in Lima. She had worked for Spherion for more than 20 years as a direct hire recruiter, retiring early on May 9, 2008. In 2008, she was named the 2007 Top Direct Hire Recruiter for all the Spherion franchises in the United States. She truly cared about the employees she placed and would coach them on work ethic and life skills. She was a mentor to co-workers and employees. She was involved in several activities, but her most heartfelt interest dealt with individuals affected by cancer and Alzheimer's related diseases. She had countless true friends throughout the world who helped and care for her. She was an avid reader, who enjoyed music and had a passion for conversing with friends and family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Rose Catholic Church, with Fr. David Ross officiating.
