Eileen M. Mumma

Eileen M. Mumma of Downingtown Eileen M. Mumma, 88, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2015 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown. She was the beloved wife of the late Ray A. Mumma, with whom she spent 36 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1984. Born in Philadelphia, Eileen was the daughter of the late Frederick & Anna Dowd Gleave. Mrs. Mumma was a member of St. Joseph?s Church in Downingtown and was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Downingtown. She worked for the Chester County Intermediate Unit helping handicapped children as a bus aide. She also volunteered at the Coatesville Veterans Administration helping to take care of the veterans housed there. She is survived by her children, Sr. Cynthia Ann Mumma, I.H.M of Wayne, Sharon E. McMahon (Joseph) of Ivyland and Eileen Madrigale (Nicholas) of Avon Park, Florida; and two grandchildren, Joshua McMahon and Danielle Seaman. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 16 at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Ave, Downingtown, where a visitation will be held from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camilla Hall, 1145 W. King Rd., Malvern, PA 19355. Arrangements are being handled by the James J. Terry Funeral Home, Downingtown.
