David L. Mumaw, 74, Kokomo, passed away at 12:42 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at his home. He was born on Jan. 5, 1942, in Kokomo, the son of George David Mumaw & Gladys (Jones) Tilley. On Dec. 18, 1976, he married Debra K. Whitehead and she survives.
David was a 1960 graduate of Eastern High School. He retired as a route driver for Nickles Bakery. David then worked for JDC of Wisconsin as a truck driver.
David is survived by his wife, Debra K. Mumaw, Kokomo; children, Michael Scott Mumaw, Kokomo, Melissa (Jeremy) Acord, Kokomo, Janci Leigh (Mike) Voiles, Kokomo, and Jobi (Stephen) Tabler, Royal Center; grandchildren, Trent Van Meter, Zachary Van Meter, Drew Acord, Braydon Voiles, Darian Voiles, Jacob Guffey, Eli Guffey, Addie Tabler, Caitlin Tabler, and Carson Tabler.
David was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Eric Catron officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to the Guardian Angel Foundation.
