Arlene "Vickie" Muma Moore, 61, of Mancelona died Thursday, June 30, 2005, at her home.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1943 in Coldsprings Township, the daughter of Donald and Josephine (DeVerney) Muma.
She was a resident of Mancelona for the past five years. Prior to moving to Mancelona she resided in Ellsworth.
She enjoyed gardening, reading and crossword puzzles.
She was a member of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians in Manistee.
In honor of her Native American Heritage, the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians held ceremonial fires for three days and nights.
On Sept. 12, 1962 she married Francis "Frank" Moore, who survives. Also surviving are five children, Barbara (George Arnold) Moore of Ellsworth, Francis "Chris" (Terry) Moore of Brimley, Stephanie Moon of Ellsworth, Eddie (Jessica) Moore of Central Lake, Randy (Melissa) Moore of Boyne City; five brothers, Donald "Sonny" Muma of Mancelona, Jessie (Louise) Muma of Mancelona, Alfred (Carol) Muma of Mancelona, Steve (Sharon) Muma of Monroe, and Patrick (Judy) Muma of East Jordan; four sisters, Gertrude "Gertie" Behling of Boyne City, Lottie (Gene) McCaslin of Kaleva, Nina (Donald) Hawver of Kaleva, Gayla (John III) Grocholski of Mancelona; 17 grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Frankie, Ashley, Whitney, Karlee, Lydia Rose, Skyler, Taishann, Ramsey, Joseph, Nicholas, Dylan, Darin, Damian, Jason and Jenni as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Rodney and William Muma, and two sisters Diane Bard, Wilfrieda Somerville.
Funeral services were held on July 6 at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Interment was in Coldsprings Township Cemetery.
