Esther Ellen Mumaw
Graveside services for Esther Ellen Mumaw will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ashland Cemetery with the Rev. Donald C. Earlenbaugh officiating.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Denbow-Primm Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mumaw, 95, formerly of West Main Street, died Monday morning in the Brethren Care Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past eight years.
She was born July 28, 1890, in Ashland, the daughter of John and Mary Whitmer Beymer. She had been a resident of Ashland all her life.
As a young girl, Mrs. Mumaw was employed at the former Cresco Mfg. Co. and continued to work in the sewing department for many years, retiring in 1955.
She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by three daughters, Thelma Breiner of Ashland, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Seymour of Avon Park, Fla. and Martha Caskey of Modesto, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Mumaw was preceded in death by three children, Frances Shelly Burkholder, John McQuate and Dorothy Gongwer.
