SERVICES HELD FOR CLARENCE SKEELS
Clarence A. Skeels, 90, a resident of Hamilton township, died suddenly at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Manwaring, on Aug. 1. He was married to Cora E. Whitman on Jan. 14, 1891, who preceded him in death in 1935.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Manwaring and Mrs. Doris Matthews, of Clare county; one sister, Mrs. Kate Love, of Ann Arbor; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. One daughter and two brothers are deceased.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Miner Funeral Home with the Rev. C. E. Howe officiating. Pallbearers were Ernest Zelt, Melvin Mathews, Frederick Price, Clifford Matthews, Noel Switzer and Leonard Matthews. Gladwin County Record dated 8-8/1956
