A funeral service for Margaret A. Hoffman, 75, of Newark, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta Funeral & Cremation Service, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hoffman died April 15, 2007, at Forest Hills Care Center in Columbus. She was born March 2, 1932, in Newark, to the late Thomas and Ethel (Warman) Moomaw.
Mrs. Hoffman was of Baptist Faith. She had been employed by Jerry's Fabrics, the YMCA Preschool and the L&K and Pennsylvania Station Restaurants. She had been a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association before her being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Terry) Metzen and Joyce (Thomas) Meckling, both of Newark; a son, Brian (Erica) Hoffman, of Newark; four granddaughters, Roxanne (Todd) Cain, Monica (Norman) Meckling, Amber Metzen and Kristine Hoffman; her sisters and brothers, Edna, Mildred, Nellie, Kate, Doris Jean, Thomas, Kenneth and Donald Lee; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Hoffman, in 1996; and a sister, Dorothy.
