NEWARK: A graveside service celebrating the life of Joyce Ann Meckling, age 62, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, at Hanover Cemetery with Rev. William J. Rauch officiating.
Joyce loved her family and animals. She enjoyed gardening and John Wayne. A big challenge she struggled with in life was her health but that is now behind her. Joyce passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at her home. She was born May 8, 1952 in Mt. Vernon.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Thomas "Tommy" Meckling; two daughters, Roxanne (David) Warner and Monica (Jammey Steinhausser) Meckling; a granddaughter, Chloe Steinhausser; a sister, Mary (Terry) Metzen; a brother, Brian (Erica) Hoffman; two nieces, Amber Metzen and Kristine Hoffman; and a nephew, Aaron Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer G. Neighbarger and Margaret (Moomaw) Hoffman; step-father, George Hoffman; and a grandson, Timothy Steinhausser.
