Ruby "Bea" Irene Hamilton Rinker, 97 of New Market passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in New Market. Services will be on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Dellinger Funeral, Mt. Jackson. The family will receive friends and family 1 hour prior.
Ruby was born on January 19, 1927, in Acme, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Perry and Effie Moomaw Hamilton. She was a member of the Stony Creek Church of the Brethren. She retired from HD Lee after 19 years. After she retired, she enjoyed bus tours all over the country. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Edgar Rinker, 3 sisters, Frances Will, Louise Moomaw, and Estella Taylor.
She is survived by, 2 sons, Troy Rinker and his wife Linda of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and David Rinker of New Market: a daughter, Sonia West and her husband William, Jr. of Annandale, Virginia; 3 grandchildren, William West III, David West, and Troy Rinker, Jr. and 2 great grandchildren, Troy Rinker, III, and Ava West.
She loved to garden and was a member of the Cohee Garden Club. She had a tremendous memory and was the family genealogist. She also loved cats and birds.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
