CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ruth F. Mumma, 86, a resident of Menno Haven, and formerly of Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, July 19, 1998, at the nursing home.
Born Nov. 13, 1911, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Ann Lizzie Fisher Mumma. She lived most of life in the Waynesboro area and was a resident of Men no Haven for the past 27 years.
She was a graduate of Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg and also attended school at Linden Hall, Lititz, Pa.
She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro.
She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth M. Snively, Waynesboro; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Mumma, Lillian DiGiammarino and Grace Thompson; and two brothers, Ralph Mumma and Paul Mumma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, The Rev. Thomas J. Helmer will be celebrant. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
There will be no viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Menno Haven Benevolent Fund, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
