"Mrs. Anna E. Mumma, of McGill, O., the wife of H. D. Mumma, a well known resident of that city, died Thursday evening at Hope hospital as the result of the shock following a surgical operation for the removal of gall stones. Mrs. Mumma was forty-six years old.
The remains will be shipped to McGill, where the burial will take place."
Anna's death date was incorrectly recorded in her husband's obituary.
"His wife passed away July 15, 1905, after which he moved to Gideon, Missouri."

Ann E. Wolf, daughter of Sylvester and Hannah Wolf, was born October 15, 1858, died July 13, 1905, aged forty-six years, eight months and ten days (sic). In the year 1878 she was converted, baptised and joined the U. B. church at Pleasant Valley, Adams county, Indiana. On June 19, 1884, she was married to Henry D. Mumma. To this union was born one son, Frank B. Previous to this they had adopted a little daughter, Goldie, in the year 1888. Mrs. Mumma moved with her husband to Paulding county, and on April 5, 1889, she and her husband became charter members of the Mt. Pleasant U. B. church, now known as the McGill class. She has ever since been faithful and always taking part in church and Sunday school work. She was, at the time of her death teacher of class number four. She was also a member of the Township every department of life, she leaves a husband, son and daughter, two brothers, five sisters and a host of friends to mourn her loss, but we know our loss is her eternal gain. Funeral services were held at McGill U. B. church by Rev. C. S. Johnson of Celina, Ohio.
