Susanne Moomaw, 78

SAN DIEGO -- Suzanne Moomaw, 78, died of cancer, Monday, May 7, 2007.
Born Jan. 12, 1929, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was a longtime San Diego resident. She retired in 1991 as a rural route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. She enjoyed playing golf with the Lomas Ladies Golf Club. She was a member of the Encinitas Ladies Auxiliary Elk's Club (Elkinitas). She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and traveling, especially to Maui. She also camped with the Encinitas Camping Club.
Mrs. Moomaw is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Moomaw; daughters and sons-in-law Robin and John Kelley and Donna Hubbard; and three grandchildren.
A gathering of friends is planned from noon to 3 p.m., Sunday, June 10, at Encinitas Elks Lodge, 1393 Windsor Road in Cardiff.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Elkinitas Club, 1393 Windsor Road, Cardiff, CA 92007.
