John S. "Jack" Mumma, Jr., 86, of Rockford, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Born April 6, 1935, in Rockford, the son of John S. and Bertha (Parslow) Mumma, Sr. Veteran of Naval Reserve serving a world tour during the Korean War. John married Betty M. Olson on September 14, 1957 in Bethany United Methodist Church in Rockford. She predeceased him on January 23, 2017. He worked as a glazier for Cardinal Glass and National Glass and was an active union member before retiring in 1998. John was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Survived by his children, Beth (PJ) Waelti, Jeffrey Mumma, and Nancy (Bruce) Jorlando; granddaughters, Jamie Waelti, Jennifer Waelti, Ashley (Tye) Doty, Lindsey Jorlando and Bailey (James) Briggs; and sister, Rosemary (Norm) Hansing. Also predeceased by his parents; and sister, Darlene Pace.
