By the same, on the 5th December, Mr. John Mumma, to Miss Ann Newcomer.
[Note: He and his sister, Ann Marie, were married on the same day]

The following ad was placed in the Lancaster Intelligencer on 9 Sept 1851
**** PUBLIC SALE ****
On Friday, September 19, 1851, in pursuance of the last will and testament ot John Mumma, deceased, will be sold by public vendue, on the premises, the following valuable real estate of said dec'd, to wit: All that certain Tract or Piece of Land, containing 15 ACRES, (more or less,) situate in West Hempfield township, Lancaster County, on the road leading from Mountville to Columbia, half a mile from the Ore Bank, adjoining lands of Jacob Kauffman, (Tanner) Christian Kauffman (farmer) and others. The improvements thereon are a one and a half-story log and weather-boarded DWELLING HOUSE, with a Kitchen and small office thereto attached, a small Barn, and other necessary out-buildings; a pump with good and never-failing water, near the door, an ORCHARD of choice fruit trees, of various kinds and other improvements. The land is under good fences and is in a high state of cultivation.
Persons. wishing to view the premises, will please call on Anna Mumma, residing therein. Possession and a good title will b gioven on the first day of April next.
Sale to comence at 1 o'clock in the afternoon of said day, when due attendance will be given and terms of sale made known by the undersigned Executors of said deceased.

Per Deed in Book Z, vol. 7, pp. 431-2, Lancaster County Archives, dated 3 April 1852,, John's wife and 5 children are named as receiving their share from his estate. They were Mary Summy and husband, Henry, Anna Dellinger and husband Jacob, Elizabeth Mumma, un married and John and Joseph Mumma who are under age and represented by their guardian, John Bruckart.
