A copy of his pastoral records is available at the Lancaster County Historical Society in Lancaster, PA. The following entry in his record was transcribed for me by Roger P Minert. ----------------------------------------------- Friederich Mumma was born in 1768 or 1769, the son of Peter Mumma and his wife. He was confirmed by Pastor Becker of the Lancaster Reformed Church. He married Anna Carli and they had two sons and two daughters. She died in 1803. He died of a stroke at Chestnut Hill on 25 February 1822 at the age of 53 or 54. He was living alone at the time. The funeral text was .... My estimate of his birth year is estimated from the fact he appears on the "Freeman" tax list of Hempfield Township in 1787 at which time he would have reached his majority of 21 years old.
