H. Ottensmeier
Harold Ottensmeier, 65, died Monday morning, Dec. 7 1987, at the St . Mary's Hospital in Manhattan.
He was born July 17, 1922, near Tampa, the son of Henry and Louis e Ottensmeier. He was a graduate of Tampa High School. During Worl d War II, he served in the United States Air Force in the European Th eater.
On Aug. 1, 1948, he was married to Verna Bear. The early years o f their married life were spent farming near Oskaloosa, moving to Top eka in 1953. In 1957, they moved to Bellflower, Calif., where he wa s employed as a bookkeeper and accountant. They came to Abilene in 19 73, and he had been employed by El Dorado Mobil Homes, Kooken Electri c Vacublast and the Eisenhower Center.
Mrs. Ottensmeier preceded him in death April 20, 1985. He was a me mber of the St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Jean) Raiter, Seward, N eb.; one son Paul and wife Teresa "Terry" Ottensmeier, Abilene; his m other, Mrs. Louise Ottensmeier, Abilene; one brother, Roy Ottensmeier , Oskaloosa; one sister, Mrs. Elaine King, Bay City, Texas; and two g randchildren, Michelle and Jonathan Ottensmeier, Abilene.
Funeral arrangements are pending from the Danner Funeral Home.

Services for Harold Ottensmeier, 65, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday a t St. John's Lutheran Church, near Hope, the Rev. Tony Troup officiat ing. Burial will be in the church emetery.
Mr. Ottensmeier died Monday, Dec. 7, 1987, at St. Mary's Hospital i n Manhattan.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Visitation is at the Danner Funeral Home where the family will rece ive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
