The fact that Harriet gave birth to Henry Lewis Boher was revealed through Henry?s Pennsylvania death certificate, which provided the name of his father as Lewis. It is unclear whether Harriet and Lewis ever married. On her 1904 marriage application to Joseph Clawges, she only lists having been married 2 times. If she was accurate and had married Lewis Boher, this was her 3rd marriage. She also stated on the application that her previous spouse either died or they divorced on 15 Aug 1904, just one month prior to her marriage to Clawges.
Neither Harriet nor Henry Boher are found in the 1900 census. Thjeir son, Henry Boher age 15, is living with Harriet?s younger sister, Sarah Mumma Rhoads. The other two children from her prior marriage to John Seibert are living in other households in the Harrisburg area as servants.
