The fact that John Mumma got Kate Drupp pregnant in 1883 and then abandoned her and went to Springfield, Ohio has been established through the orphanage records of St. Johns Orphan Asylum in Philadelphia and extensie DNA testing of the descendants of their illigetimate son, Charles Bernard Mumman.
