Earl E. Mumma
Earl E. Mumma, 90, of Harrisburg, entered eternal rest on December 14, 2005.
He was born August 11, 1915 in Fishing Creek Valley.
Earl owned and operated an Esso Gas Station and country store for over 40 years in Fishing Creek Valley. He was a lifetime sawmill man and was an avid fox hunter.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Catherine Milliken; a sister, Eva Dorman of Harrisburg; a son, David E. Mumma of Harrisburg; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Mumma, Tina Mumma, and Benjamin Mumma; and 3 great-grandchildren, Dalton Liddick, Clint Mumma, and Emily Mumma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Mumma.
He was a legend in his own time and a much beloved father, grandfather and friend.
The funeral service will be held Monday, December 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Hoover Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., Linglestown. The viewing will be Monday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mt. Laurel Cemetery.
