Services for Robert "Barney" Lyall Muma, 74, will be held at 11a.m. Monday at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Hemet. Mr. Muma died Friday of cancer at Hemet Valley Medical Center. Interment will be private. Mr. Muma, who was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada, lived in Hemet for 18 years. He was a self-employed potato broker in Winnemucca, Nev. and Sacramento for 30 years before he retired
in 1981.
He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1942 until 1945 before being discharged with the rank of sergeant.
Mr. Muma was a member of the Nevada Elks Lodge and the American Legion in Hemet.
He is survived by his wife, Anne; fours sons, Michael Black of McCloud, Craig of Fresno, Gary and Robert, both of Sacramento; one daughter, Cynthia Newham of Sydney, Australia; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, George of McCloud and Keith of Sacramento; and a sister, Dolly Glover of McCloud.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
